Frequent injury problems that Diego Costa has been having seems to trigger Atletico Madrid’s interest in a new striker. According to rumors, Los Rojiblancos have set their sights on Napoli’s Arkadiusz Milik.
The 25-year-old Poland international has been showing positive improvements during his time with Napoli. Arriving since 2016, Milik has become such exciting attacker who scores in a very good rate.
His current deal with I Partenopei runs until 2021, unless there’s a new extension, Atletico can try to explore things next summer. Diego Simeone’s side have a positive history in producing top strikers and Milik first their bill.
However, Napoli are a difficult team to deal with, so anyone interested on their players must pay good amount of money. Similar situation will happen for the Polish attacker if Atleti are really serious in acquiring him.
Although he has been doing well at San Paolo, there’s no guarantee that Milik is keen on staying long. The attacker will certainly consider should a good offer arrive from a strong side such as Los Rojiblancos.
Aside from Costa’s injury concern, Atletico themselves have been hit again with rumors of Antoine Griezmann’s potential departure.
Simeone won’t be keen on seeing his team’s attacking quality decreasing badly next season. That’s why looking at Milik is definitely a potentially good solution for Atleti.
