Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur’s rivalry set to continue off the pitch as both teams are targeting the same player for next summer. Reports are claiming that they are keen on signing AC Milan’s Franck Kessie.
Being such important part of Milan’s midfield since his arrival from Atalanta, things might suddenly changed. In recent weeks, Kessie has been causing some slight issues for Rossoneri.
Although still contributing well in matches, the Ivorian found himself in trouble during Milan derby and recently against Lazio. In the latest case, Kessie and Tiemoue Bakayoko, received many criticism.
After wining their match against Biancocelesti last weekend, the former Atalanta man was doing unsportsmanlike gesture with Bakayoko. Both players were parading the jersey of Lazio’s defender, Francesco Acerbi.
That incident didn’t go well with many sports people in Italy and this situation is being monitored by both Arsenal and Spurs. Both clubs will be hoping that Rossoneri’s management decide that they’ve had enough of recent controversies.
Kessie’s status himself is technically still on loan with obligation to buy from Atalanta, starting from next summer. However, Rossoneri can immediately sell him once that loan agreement turns into permanent deal.
Milan themselves are also considering other targets for next summer and with confusing FFP situation, Rossoneri could decide to part ways with Kessie.
