Napoli struggling again to compete for trophies this season, triggering rumors of potential departures of their important players. One of the names, who the media believes could be leaving is Lorenzo Insigne.
However, I Partenopei has no intention of selling the Italian international unless he himself request to move. According to their manager, Carlo Ancelotti, the current Serie A runners up doesn’t need to sell Insigne.
Ancelotti explain that his side will keep improving next season by adding more qualities. Moreover, although he can’t promise any top arrivals, but Napoli won’t be in need to sell their stars.
“Next year the team will improve, we’ll make suitable signings and move forward,” Ancelotti said. “If Insigne wants to stay, we’ll all be very happy and I’ll be the most happy. We might not be able to buy a top player, but we have no need to sell either.”
It was a positive statement from Ancelotti, but still far from assuring for Partenopei fans. The tactician’s statement about they’re potential struggle in signing top players could be key in Insigne’s future.
The striker reportedly is feeling frustrated with his team’s failure in winning trophies in recent season. Without any top signings who can lift the team’s quality, the 27-year-old might still hesitate on staying.
