Tottenham Hotspur’s boss, Mauricio Pochettino, has been in the star of attention recently. Not only because of his success in guiding Spurs into Champions League final, but also the tactician’s odd statements.
In recent two interviews, Pochettino seemingly hinting at potential departure from Tottenham. Both before and after their second leg semifinal tie against Ajax, the tactician stated that he could leave Spurs after the Champions League final.
Before the second leg match, Pochettino only stated that he might depart should his team win. However, just after Spurs’ dramatic win over Ajax, the Argentinian added that he could even leave if his side lose against Liverpool.
“Yes, I could Leave and I could Leave even if I lose (the final),” the tactician explained.
It was an interesting statement indeed from the former Southampton boss. However, many media remain unsure on whether the tactician was just joking or has any intention of leaving.
It’s not the first time he indicates to the media that he might not be managing Spurs much longer. However, the tactician seemingly has an interesting long projects with the Lilywhites.
Nevertheless, Pochettino did say after the Champions League final he will has some discussion with the club’s owner, Daniel Levy. The manager can see himself taking new challenges in the coming future, believing his works in Tottenham is done.
